Personal Profile:

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,  not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10 Born in the Philippines to a missionary pastor and teacher, grown up in Texas, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. Finally attending Concordia, River Forest and meeting the love of my life. Blessed with 8 children, and enjoy time today learning about God in church, through Bible study, singing hymns, and reading the Lutheran confessions. As a family we enjoy being together on vacations around the United States, hiking, biking, camping, swimming, kayaking, soccer and much more.

Professional Profile:

that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2: 2-3 Elementary education with Middle School endorsement, Psychology minor from Concordia, River Forest. Taught 2 years in Chicago, 1 year in Milwaukee, 13 years in Greenfield. Master’s in Educational Administration and Curriculum Development, Concordia, Mequon. Passionate about Lutheran education and catechesis. I enjoy the daily interaction with students and seeing how they can be challenged to grow in their faith through reading God’s word and learn new concepts and deepen their thinking and understanding.

Philosophy:

The words of a man's mouth are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook. Proverbs 18:4  All wisdom comes from God. As we share the questions that man has had about God and the world He created, we wonder and seek answers to our observations. As we learn from the ancient philosophers and theologians, we can learn about the truth found in the Bible as well as the proofs of the earth in God’s creation. Music is a wonderful avenue in which to learn about the history of the church and about God’s sung word. I am blessed to be called to be the science and music appreciation teacher for the middle school here at St. John’s.
