Our Bible lesson this week was about Abraham and Sarah, who were elderly and had no children. They had a visit from God who told them to move from Canaan from Haran.  God said if they made the move he would bless them.  They trusted God’s promise to bless them and they obeyed.  God always keeps his promises.

In our areas this week, we had a tent in the Dramatic Play area.  We pretended what it would be like to live in a tent instead of a house.  We talked about different houses and the rooms in houses and how the rooms are used.  In the Construction area we played with cars and large blocks to build homes or garages for the cars and trucks.  The children sorted blue and red plastic silverware, not by color, but sorted the forks, spoons and the knives.  They did a great job.  They tried to guess the scents lemon, lavender, cloves and peppermint.  Most of the children were able to name lemon and mint.  I helped them with the other two scents.  Our Language Arts area was used to make blessing collages.  We talked about all of God’s blessings. Our art project was using our hands to spread shaving cream and brown around, then using our fingers, the children were asked to draw a face.  We have some beautiful creations!
