3 Year Old Preschool

St. John's Lutheran 2017-2018 Theme:

"A Mighty Fortress Is Our God"

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."  (Psalm 46:1)

This class is open to children who are 3 years old as of September 1st. Children must also be completely toilet trained.

Classes will meet Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:50-11:45 with the optional days of Monday and Friday. We have day care available if your child needs extended care.

Welcome to St. John's Lutheran Pre-school. We would love to tell you a little about what we have to offer.

Our goal is to encourage your child's curiosity, language skills, emotional development, creativity, confidence and critical thinking in a playful environment. Most importantly is the message that he/she is a child of God and his/her first independent step into learning will occur in a loving Christ-centered classroom.

About The Teacher:

I am a wife, mother, and grandmother.  I have been married to my husband, Patrick, for 33 years.  We have three children, Christopher(Melissa), Sean(Tricia) and Kaitlin(John), and three grandchildren, Julia, Emma and Max, and another due on Christmas Day.  I worked at St. John's for 11 years as a Teacher Assistant while my children attended school here. I returned to UW-Parkside in 2001, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Art degree in French Studies.  Since that time I have taught at Racine Unified schools, Next Generation Now and Acelero Learning (Head Start).  I feel that God had a hand in returning me to St. John's to do his work, ministering and teaching the 3 year old children in my care.  I feel blessed and happy to be your children's teacher.

Mission Statement:

My mission as a teacher is to guide the chilren in my care through their learning experiences by offering play experiences that open their eyes to discovering the wonders of God's creation and encourage a love of learning.  Each day will also give me an opportunity to teach the children about feelings by identifying emotions and teaching them how to cope with these emotions.  I will use the many resources available to give my students a Christ-centered, enjoyable first year of school.
