Dear prospective families and future Cougars,
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and become more familiar with St. John’s Lutheran School. St. John’s was founded in the midst of our nation’s Civil War more than 150 years ago. Since 1863, St. John’s Lutheran has been dedicated to providing academic excellence in a Lutheran-Christian environment. Today, we continue to build on our tradition of excellence at St. John’s Lutheran School by providing our students with the curriculum and experiences essential to developing future servant leaders. We focus on helping our graduates build a foundation that equips our alumni to assume roles of leadership in their homes, churches, professions, and today’s increasingly global world.
A Lutheran-Christian education at St. John’s truly exemplifies and defines the philosophy of whole child education. St. John’s is intentional about providing more than a rigorous academic program. We present our students with opportunities to grow in five critical areas of comprehensive development. Our students mature spiritually as they study and grow in their knowledge and understanding of God’s Word. They develop socially and emotionally through a variety of extra-curricular opportunities and relationships rooted in Christ’s love. Our students grow physically as learning extends beyond the classroom and onto the court. Finally, we provide a challenging curriculum that best positions our graduates to experience success as they graduate and advance in pursuing their educational aspirations at the secondary level. Our emphasis on developing the whole child is designed to help each student maximize his or her God-given talents and abilities. We are committed to helping each of our students grow both personally and professionally.
Our diverse student body welcomes students of all cultures. Our family at St. John’s finds its meaning and purpose with eyes drawn to the cross. The redemptive work accomplished on our behalf at the cross frees us to live in grace and pursue our mission – to prepare and educate God’s children for life-long service to Christ.
I kindly ask each that each prospective family click on the link provided to officially request information, arrange a tour, and begin the journey God has laid out for you at St. John’s Lutheran School.
Grateful for the opportunity to serve,
Sharon Adel
