1. What time is the kindergarten session?
Half Day Program 8:50-11:45
Full Day Program 8:50-3:45
2. How do I keep up with what is going on?
You will receive a weekly newsletter at the end of every week from both the school as well as our classroom. Included will be the highlights of what we did for the week. Upcoming events and special activities will be listed. Attached to these newsletters you will find your child's work for the week, a Bible story sheet, and any attachments from the school office. These packs are very important and need to be reviewed each week.
This website is also a source of information.
3. How often is the website updated?
I will post the weekly activities in advance on Sunday evenings so that you will have a preview of what we're doing.
4. How can I become involved?
We love parents to become involved. The most important thing you can do is to remember our school, teachers, and children in your daily prayers. Special events and field trips open up opportunities for you. Throughout the year the school newsletter will list volunteer opportunities available to you.
5. Are there other opportunities for parent involvement?
We have an organization called the P.T.L. which is run by the parents and teaching staff. This group depends on parents taking an active part in the planning and implementing of many programs and activities throughout the year. Meeting dates and events are listed on the school calendar. Also watch the school newsletter for volunteer requests and information.
6. How do I know my child's progress?
You will receive a report card for your child four times during the school year. In the fall we hold parent conferences. If you have any concerns that arise during the year, please feel free to contact me and we can set up a conference.
7. What happens on early release days? On the school calendar, you will see early release days where the school is dismissed at an earlier time.
8. What options are available before and after school?
We do offer a full-day setting to meet the needs of our kindergarten parents. The children are able to attend a morning less structured session, eat lunch, and then attend the afternoon kindergarten class. You are able to use as many days a week as needed on a regular basis or as a drop-in. We would prefer 24 hours' notice for drop-in care. Extended care hours are from 6:30-5:30.
9. What is Mrs. Witek's favorite color?
Purple. My own children didn't think this was an important question, but you never know when you might need to know this tidbit of information! Teacher Trivia seems to make an appearance every year.
